We are nearing a time of reflection and resetting our intentions. It has probably already started. As the year draws to a close and we pull inwards, towards our closest family and friends, we also become reflective.

How did we live 2015? What has 2015 revealed to us, and how have we changed? I hesitate to say, “What have we accomplished?” yet that is part of it too.

I am already seeing several “setting intentions” workshops and classes being offered. Talk of vision boards and creative ways to express our deepest longings is in the air.

And celebration – the recognition that we have done our best, however that has shown up for us.

What now? Another chance to start again, as we do every day. Time to take out the compass. Where are you headed? What is next for you? Where will you be in five years? How will you get there?

Take5 Massage, in Orlando, FL, made a great suggestion in 2013 – distill your intentions down to only 3 WORDS, and let them serve as your compass for the coming year.

They explained, “Since most resolutions are often too big, or too vague or even clichéd, consider instead taking a deeper cut – find the words underneath the goal/s that will form, guide and inspire your year. Instead of resolving to “de-clutter” aspire to “Simplify”. Then getting rid of clutter becomes one potential action step and other actions will naturally flow from that!”

I’ll try that.
